Stephen C. Morgan is Chief Executive Officer & President of TransTex Treating, a leading provider of natural gas treating and processing equipment and services headquartered in Houston, Texas. Over a ten-year period, Morgan has been a driving force behind the company’s continued growth and success.
Morgan joined TransTex Treating in 2010 as a Business Development Manager for this then emerging startup enterprise. Within a two-year period, Morgan helped capture significant market share and was the majority contributor of revenue growth that positioned the company for its lucrative sale to Eureka Hunter Holdings in 2012.
Under new ownership, Morgan continued to provide double-digit revenue growth as Vice President of Business Development and stepped in to provide executive leadership of the entire business unit in 2015 as the Senior Vice President. In this role, Morgan led the standardization of all operating and engineering systems, modernized TransTex’s fleet, and led all commercial development and contract negotiations.
In 2018 Morgan led a group of private investors in the acquisition of TransTex and was named CEO and President. Under Morgan’s leadership, the company has expanded its footprint across Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Kansas, North Dakota, Colorado, and Wyoming. In addition, TransTex has delivered an impeccable safety record being recognized for zero OSHA incidents three plus years while successfully growing revenue, asset base and cash flow despite recent industry challenges.
A graduate of Sam Houston State University with a BBA in Management, Morgan is a successful businessman as well as a genuine servant leader in his community. Morgan is an active member of the Houston Producers Forum (HPF) and Gas Processors Association (GPA) and serves as Chairman of the Board and President of Young Professionals in Energy (YPE). Within his community, Morgan serves as a Vice Chairman of the Rodeo Express Committee for the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo, a Big Brother to Jonathan and annual event chair for Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS), Chapter Advisor of Delta Tau Delta Fraternity at SHSU, and serves as chair of annual events benefitting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and The Center for Pursuit. In recognition for his professional success and service to community, Morgan has been honored as a Top 30 Under 30 by Young Texans Against Cancer, Big Believer of the Year by BBBS Greater Houston, National Outstanding Alumni Advisor by Delta Tau Delta Fraternity, and Texas Oil & Gas Future Industry Leader Award.
